There are 2 sides to every story, 1 Kings 3:17-22
If Solomon would have listened to one witness or the other he could have misjudged the case. It is important to always hear out the entire matter before deciding where you stand. What if he didn’t listen past the end of v.21? Then it seems like a pretty easy case. In reality it is not.
There are 2 sides to every story. Have you ever heard, made your decision, then heard the rest of the story? Usually my reaction when this happens is, “Oh.”
Proverbs 18:13 “He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, It is folly and shame unto him.”
With the facts given, even with hearing both sides, Solomon still only has a 50/50 chance of getting this right.
