Mission Trip To Panama

In early July (sorry I am so late in posting pictures), I had the privilege of joining Sale Creek First Baptist Church on a mission trip to Panama. I’m so thankful they allowed me to be a part of what God was doing through their team.

During the trip, we had the opportunity to visit several missionaries (Clifford, Mary & Isaac Suddeth, Jonathan & Tara Higdon, & Jeremiah & Emily Welchez, as well as Ashley Moore, one of our Global Faith Project Partners), encouraging them and helping wherever we could. We gathered and distributed food to families in the Costa Verde community, spent a workday serving at the Living Water Retreat Center, and traveled to the village of San Antonio. We also had the opportunity to worship with Costa Verde Baptist Church, and then I worshiped with Jeremiah & Emily Welchez at Grand Commission Church on Sunday night. On Monday, we spent time helping around the mission house.

One of my favorite parts of a mission trip is being reminded that missions isn't just about going somewhere; it’s about coming alongside people who are already faithfully serving and helping them continue the work God has called them to. I’m grateful for the opportunity to have been a small part of what God is doing in Panama. Thank you to Sale Creek First Baptist Church for allowing me to join you on this trip. I came home encouraged, challenged, and reminded once again that the Gospel is worth taking wherever God sends us.
