Details

Wow, what detail was put into the building of the temple! Have you ever built a house? I am sure, especially if the house was for you to live in, that you spent time planning out the details of how you wanted your house to be. However, as the process developed some details may have had to be cut out. Or, as the budget was stretched, details were eliminated.

Two things need to be noticed about the details given here:

• Solomon and his helpers worked out every little detail to make the house just right…and then laid gold over it all to make it even better!
• God thought the details were important enough to fill pages of His Word with these lists of details we see here.

Details are important. During this study we have pointed this out once before. I don’t mean to become redundant in this study, but doesn’t the fact that this has come up twice already help us to see the importance of details? What details are you overlooking or putting off in life?
