This is an older song that was popularized in the early 2000s when a family from Alabama recorded it and began singing it around in churches where they travelled. The Partain family were friends of ours and sang in our church each year. Brother Carl had his young daughter sing it behind a recording of his mother singing the song in church many years prior. The little girl (age 6-8 at the time) was missing her front teeth! So you'll notice in the song a unique pronunciation of many words. I'll never forget Shanee asking her how she lost her front teeth (joking, assuming she was just at that age) and she answered, "I was roller skating in the bathtub."

This song is always an encourgement to me on a hard day or through a rough time. I hope it can be the same for you.
